As a Windows corporate trainer, I have tried all the Office apps on iOS, and my impression is.... The still don't 'get it.'

Can you expand on that?  Is the software dumbed down or is it the UI they don't get?

OT a bit but I got my Mac SE HDFD up and running this weekend as it was a rain day in Florida.  I came across all the original Microsoft Office disk made for Mac from late 84 early 85 I believe in a box.  This was the Office suite Steve Jobs  contracted a small company called Microsoft to make as per his concept.  First stand alone software from MS I think (apart from what became knowns as PC-DOS a.k.a. CP/M rip off).  It all still worked but I can never use Works (or Excel as it changed to shortly thereafter) without feeling bad for the VisiCalc guys.  I gather they never patented the spread sheet when they should have, but that's a saga I need to investigate.  I loved VisiCalc!

Microsoft doesn't get the UI... I found myself constantly focusing on the technology rather than the problem I was trying to solve. Microsoft constantly proves they are not capable delivering more with less. BTW, I meant to mention that I have been a corporate trainer for over 20 years.

...The future has arrived, and Microsoft is still holding onto the past.
