Yep, this is the winner. Apple introduced a 33MHz 68030 machine (at the time, this was near the high end of the food chain), and after a few months, Apple introduced the Centris 610(sporting a 68040 CPU and priced at the same price) and promptly canceled the IIvx. People were rather angry.
