On your stuck pixel. Should be no problem. Gently massge the area in a circular motion for a minute (use a soft cloth - t shirt, etc.) If doesn't immediately come unstuck do not dispair. Do the routine every day and one day when you turn your iMac on, it will be unstuck. This happened to my iBook. Congrats.

Thanks for the little trick! I'll try it next time before powering up. But you know, I'm lookin at it right know and its seemed to have disappeared. I guess it massaged itself.
a question to anyone with a new 17" iMac: I read somewhere, that the viewing angle of the used 17" display is only 120 degrees.
Does this appear to be a problem?
Thanks,

I have no problems. I think the viewing angle is larger than 120 degrees.
Although the viewing angle is beyond 120 degees this should not be a factor as the display easily adjusts to your viewing angle. That one thing I've found I like the most is that I can move the display where ever I want.
I say no viewing angle problems here. Maybe this would be an issue with a 17" or 22" Apple cinema display - but not an iMac!
