He doesn't realize that if the CEOs of the music streaming companies hold a meeting to end the "dick swinging contest", that would be collusion which would get them all in very serious trouble with the DoJ.
Maybe. Depends on if the right campaign contributions were made first.
What Apple should do is buy out everyone's share but Kanye's, take the licenses, and leave the shell (including debt) to Kanye. Then he can be sole proprietor of his own little debt holding company.
I do wish apple would increase their steaming quality a little bit... most objective reviews say Tidal -gt Spotify -gt Apple music Currently using gen 2 appletv to yamaha a-s801 to bw805s. Sounds good, but want less comprised music out of the box. Love the large music selection.
Apple Music streams are AAC files encoded in 256kbps, which compares favorably to 320kbps MP3 streams on Spotify. Speaking of Spotify, it offers a 96kbps bitrate on mobile and 160kbps on desktop and web player while its high-quality 320kbps MP3 streaming on mobile and desktop is only available to Premium subscribers.Dec 21, 2015
Comparing the two services with Tidal, however, the Tidal version did sound better. Where Apple and Spotify sort of smooshed the cymbals and guitars together, the lossless service was able to disentangle them for greater clarity.
Relevenacy edit: oh yeah, Kanye is a chump (but he's playing the game better than me, so gotta give him that)

I hardly listen to music anymore but my opinion is that most of the stuff that is currently popular is overproduced, over compressed and base heavy to meet the desires of the listener. Unless you're listening to music remastered for audiophiles, what difference does Tidal lossless really make?
Meh, let Tidal die, and let Kanye live off his music's and Kim's app earnings if he's so worried about his income.
From about the 1960s, terms were given to various ranges of IQ levels.
0–25 = idiot
26–50 = imbecile
50–70 = moron
The best and most current model is the Stanford–Binet (SB5) classification, which uses terms that only rate in comparison to other values on the scale, like "Borderline impaired or delayed" for an IQ range of 70–79 and "Gifted or very advanced" for an IQ range of 130–144. Even these will surely be outmoded as culture changes, but for now they are pretty good.
There are plenty of other terms for various ranges of IQ, and that doesn't even begin to get into the multitude of ways in which an IQ test and it's classification is flawed at its very core.
I prescribe to Howard Gardner's hypothesis as being the best model I've read in regards to the scope of human intelligence. Can you spot the ones that current IQ tests can't accurately test?

They could hold a meeting to discuss a merger/buyout offer.
Let me get this straight: Kanye wants Apple to stop competing against Tidal and buy them out so Jay-Z can cash out? Yeah.
Actually there are 2 reasons why Apple should buy Tidal for a favorable price.
1. Tidal is owned by some major artists that don't debut their albums exclusively on iTunes / Apple Music. 2. Tidal has 3+ million audiophiles who insist on lossless sound.
There is no antitrust worry here. Spotify would still have about twice as many users as Apple Music, but the competition would tighten. Especially with the artists from reason 1 getting behind Apple Music / iTunes.
JZ should just take what Apple offers and move on to making money in music.
Apple bought the Beats headphone business for $3 billion and got the music streaming for free. I wouldn't be surprised if they have earned half of the $3 billion back already just in headphone earnings.
Tidal would be worth significantly less, maybe zero.

Billions? Hell No !
JZ bought Tidal for $56 Million, so it's pocket change for Apple. Since Tidal now have a bunch of top artists and more users behind it, Apple could buy them out for a small premium.

I bet him and Kim are bankrupt in 5 yrs
I say squeeze them as much as possible by enhancing the Apple platforms to irresistibility and ignoring the infidels.

Does he know how too spell the word A-N-T-I-T-R-U-S-T, and if so, what it means? Has he heard of Cote? iBooks? Bromwich?
