What, exactly, were the 'significant' improvements of the GN7 as opposed to the GN6... its 'explosive' speed? It doesn't have any 3DTouch copy, it doesn't use PowerVR, it doesn't have pressure-sensitivity for the Spen, does it?

You can't destroy the device by accidentally putting the pen in backwards. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

How are the airlines going to distinguish between the original exploding version and the replaced version?

And since the original problem was due to a rush to deliver, it seems they could possibly face a similar issue in their rush to replace it.

My guess is that Airlines would ban all iterations of the Note 7 and only allow the Note 5 and the Note 8*, whenever it is available.

    * It could very well be the Note 10, if Apple decides to release the 10th Anniversary iPhone next year as iPhone 10!

    These numbers are from Samsung.

I don't believe a single word of it.

They claim that 90% of Note7 owners decided to get another Note7 instead of a refund. No way that's true.
That is bs. I read an article the other day where a Samsung spokesperson said most were exchanging for a different Galaxy model.
Also, just other day didn't Samsung say that they where behind with the product of replacement units and only half would be delivered. Someone is just throwing numbers around - just like the IDC numbers  ;-)

There was no Note 6. Samsung decided to jump from 5 to 7 in attempt to steal some of Apple's iPhone 7 thunder. This company is truly pathetic, and it needs to go down in flames one way or another.

There was no GN6.  Europe didn't even get the GN5.

So now we'll know how many notes were sold.
I read somewhere that they had sold about 380 thousand in the US. This might explain why some new N7s are on sale rather than being offered as replacement units. Some of the 500 thousand units are obviously replacing the carriers unsold stock.

People will continue to blindly purchase Samsung devices, ignorant to the business practices of that company.
Exactly. Some if the android sites such as Android Central are saying that the number if affected units has been over exaggerated and that Samsung should be praised for the way the dealt with the recall. They are even saying the GN7 is still the best phone if 2016.
