MLB At Bat adds video highlights in Notification Center, other iOS 10 enhancements
Major League Baseball has updated its At Bat app for iOS, adding several iOS 10-related features, particularly the ability to watch video highlights from notifications without opening the app itself.
Highlights can be triggered on any device with 3D Touch, namely the iPhone 6s/6s Plus and 7/7 Plus. This even includes access from the lockscreen, though actually viewing a highlight requires unlocking.
Elsewhere, a new Today widget shows scores and game schedules for a person's selected team.
The last enhancement is a set of sticker packs for iOS 10's revamped Messages app -- these include one general MLB pack, and 30 for individual teams.
MLB At Bat is free to download for any device running iOS 8 or later, but some coverage options like live audio or video may require a paid subscription, which can cost between $2.99 and $24.99, depending on the level and duration.
