The A9X was making Core M look nervously in its rearview mirror, now this score is every bit as fast as the fastest Macbook Air ever shipped, which havn't been updated in a while but are still 17W processors, vs the 5W Core M macbook. Wow.
These numbers look about right. I'd love to see another 3 core chip in the iPad Pro though. If we could get 9,000 in the multicore results, that would be great. I've got apps that would use those cores to great advantage.
Yeah, that would be nuts. So far it seems like the A8X was only a one-time concession with three cores though, seems Apple likes two high performance cores. Wonder how much longer they can shove forward per-core performance, and if more cores will follow once that slows down.
Man, imagine an actively cooled A10X Apple TV though...
