I have an old PowerMac 7500 (upgraded to a G3) that I use as my Webserver. I look through the logs to see what my friends are doing on my site. Last fall/winter the Windows viruses were causing them to hit my site so often that my log files were swamped with junk.

Solution? I changed from using port 80 to using another port. Most malicious things/people out there expect port 80 for HTTP. If not there they just move on. As a result I've had no problems on any of the three Mac servers I now run on ports other than 80.

Yea, I just changed to port 83. But I change back now 'n then to record what kind of traffic is passing through.
