    Beautiful.

Two adjustments I'd make: a plain painted metal piece instead of the tacky flag logo. I'd add more minimal glazing to accentuate those arches and provide an even greater appearance of transparency and openness.
Probably neither of those things would be allowed since it likely a historic building.
The had four huge Apple logos there before. And the windows are new, not protected. I'm reasonably confident both those suggestions would be allowed. 160 episode of Grand Designs under my belt ;-)
All of Regent St is owned by the Crown Estate and strictly controlled. All shopfronts must be bronze and external signage limited to either non iluminatd bronze fret cut letters or a flag as they're now doing. The old signs were a metre behind the glass and hence didn't fall foul of the rules.

Guess they know they don't need four signs anymore - it's one of the most profitable retail spaces in the world.

Consensus of my team, all retail designers, is that it's faultless if somewhat uninspiring. Also currious if the radiused edges are from Jonny Ive / Mark Newson as they're very unusual for Foster's work.

Looks similar to the refurbished city Centre store in Glasgow with added trees.....loads of tables with a bit of hardware on top with Apple fanatics to add colour,  answer questions on the current items only and look puzzled on questions such as "why do the latest 21.5 inch iMacs have no built in DVD/CD Reader/Writer for ease of use is to make you pay more for a free standing, desl cluttering device?),"why is it impossible to increase memory at later date as in previous models",  "why are they trying to make it impossible for 3rd parties to make very simple repairs on them after they reach Apple's planned date of obsolescence (is it to force you to buy the latest model whether you need it or not at many times the cost of repair?)", "can an older version of Preview (Leopard) run as a free standing application on the current models (my wife loves its simplicity and is concerned that the version on El Capitain does not have the same functionality.....and No!, I cannot get that questioned answered either)" and so on. The only answer they seem to have is a variant of "Apple knows best." followed by, at times, "No heretics wanted here." or words implying the same.

What is up with Apple removing the white Apple logo from the new stores? Also ... the glass staircases are all disappearing too?
The glass staircases are not part of the new design and only suit certain stores. Logos are not disappearing. They still have them.

The new gold  Apple logo is used at the Lone Tree, Park Meadows store.  It is on the interior wall to right as you look at the store.  Think of the gold MacBooks logo and make it store size.
So this is what a tiny version of this new store design looks like. I like it. Did they move the store to a different part of the mall to go from the narrow long design to a wide shallow store design?
