Yes, but that's not going to attract macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS developers.

You can develop in C# and get in the iOS App Store.

C# is almost as cross platform as Java.

Will the macOS visual studio support swift?  I guess it depends on how many folks are really writing swift for the .Net CLR.

This has happened before since the times of Microsoft Word 6.0. It was not successful.

I wonder if it is a given that they will bring MS SQL Server to macOS as well. It seems like a no-brainer if VS is making the transition.
