Most buyers in the market for Apple's MacBook Pro with Touch Bar will end up purchasing one of two models, the portable but capable 13-inch version or the powerful 15-inch flagship. But choosing one means missing out on an epic dual unboxing. Luckily, they can live vicariously through us.

Also, do we have to use such an aggressive knife? Wouldn't an exacto knife suffice?

I was partial with Touch Bar before, but after using it for a day, what a revolution! I don't think I can go back to any machine that has no Touch Bar. Just Safari alone, I could see all other tabs preview in my bar, and access any of it with just one touch. It's totally a new way, and much better and organic way to interact with the software. I definitely don't understand all those naysayers and gimmick-claimer unless they have never used it and just sprouting hates.

More crucially, it's a far better use of that area. The only gripe I have with the new machines is their price. Grumbles of ports and these things go away over time. The price for now will keep me away. The price may be a bit more affordable in 3 years, but that's a 3-year wait by that acknowledgement. I wish they more agressibe with pricing and lowered MacBook by €250 to make room.

Damn, those are gorgeous machines, and the 13" looks so much smaller sitting on the 15", can't believe the dimensions (of the 13") are not that much larger than my lovely little 11" MBA, what they've done with those machines is amazing.

They are ferociously expensive, especially with the 20% Apple has just added to its UK prices because of the Pound sinking (not Apple's fault of course). I'm sitting here looking at the GBP65 of USB-C adaptors that arrived today, having already paid approximately twice as much for the computer (arriving in December) as I paid for my current 15" MBP. I'm afraid I resent that extra 2% cost, however illogically, because it feels like Apple has walked away from the transitional problems the machine causes.

I just hope the computer lives up to the hype.

Now you know what it feels like for Americans traveling to England. Only time my wife and I were there we had to find a hole-in-the-wall pub for breakfast because the hotel, located outside London, wanted £25 per person, which at that time was around $50. The hotel was only £75 per night. It goes both ways. I just checked and the £ and $ are about even (£1 = $1.25) so it has dropped a huge amount in the last 10 years. Canada is having a bad time as well with $1CAD = $0.75. Perfect time to go north except for Vancouver, BC, now wanting to tax the hell out of American real estate investors. I still see tons of BC drivers coming across the border to get our cheap gas ($2.22 at Costco yesterday) and visit our (stupid) outlet malls so our prices must still be less expensive than in Canada.

AI, what video device are you using, an iPhone? I understand the use of selective focusing but when you shot across the Touch Bar, everything was a bit out of focus, making it difficult to see. I do like your videos, they're a whole lot better than the garbage we have to put up with from PC websites.

I have been using my new 15" for about 2 hours now...it is an amazing piece of work.  Touch ID is nice and the touch bar is almost always useful...there are a few things with it I will need to get used to...but the craftsmanship is great.  I will also say the keyboard and large trackpad are outstanding.  Typing is so smooth it is insane.

Yep...I noticed it was a bit out of focus at times, too.
