At the bottom of the page there is a link called ":K:"

    It links to <a href="http://uncaptheride.com/babble.html"; target="_blank">http://uncaptheride.com/babble.html</a>;

    <a href="http://www.uncaptheride.com"; target="_blank">http://www.uncaptheride.com</a>; has this.

    "August 06

Old friend, I hold the file.

From what I gather by watching you, I have information you desperately want. Information about the accident.

Of course, I cannot simply give it to you. That would be too easy. I could turn the other cheek, but what fun would that be?

No. You will have to earn this.

Before you call in reinforcements, remind yourself of these three words: Mutual Assured Destruction.

We do not want to make a mess now, do we?

If you doubt me, view this: inmyhands.jpg

To get your hands on the file, use your head. Bring me the keys .

    Start in reverse .

    :K: "

    Looks like Apple got hAx0red <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" />

Take a look around the site... very weird.

But seriously, that's one of the stranger things I've seen.

On babble.html, there's some French text:

"Je sais que vous avez un endroit special dans votre coeur pour beemers. Vous devez voir mon noir 1974 2002 coupe. Verifier le NewYorkTimes a classifie; premier le 14 aout, 2002."

Which is to say "I know that you have a special place in your heart for beemers. You should see my black 1974 2002 coupe. Check the New York Times (has classified first?) August 14th, 2002."

And august06.com leads to a Nikon photo sharing thing that has exceeded the allowed hits.

If this were to be believed, then it smacks initially of blackmail. I have the photos? Photos of products? Photos of personal nature?

    Blackmail overtones anyway.

The reversed text tells you to add ".com" to the anniversary date.

I tried <a href="http://www.0613.com,"; target="_blank">www.0613.com,</a> using the obvious numbers on the folder in the photograph, but that leads to a domain for sale...doesn't seem a likely target.

I'm going to go read the HTML source and look for these supposed white on white characters.

Anyway, somebody find the anniversary date and plug it in....
