Hey Y'all,
Thanks for reading. I have an old 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 with a AMD 7950 and would like to output to a projector with HDMI. I have an NEC monitor hooked up to one mini displayport and an old cinema display hooked up to DVI, so I have the HDMI port and one mini displayport open. There is no signal via the HDMI. What would be the best way to run HD out of this old beast? Thanks again.

AMD Radeon HD 7950
OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

Well, assuming you've got the mini display port open, a MDP to HDMI (for the projector) cable will work just fine. That said, why do you have no signal out of the HDMI port on the card?

Thanks Mike. Yeah, not sure why I don't have any signal out of the HDMI port. Googled the heck out of it and can't come up with any answers. Bad card? Should be able to get the desktop out to a display via HDMI, right? Thanks again.
