I have to agree with the design of the monitor, but truthfully, the quality of the screen blew me away. I know that supposedly the Macbook Pro 15" has a better screen, but in practice I like the LG screen better. Not sure why, but it's the best screen I've ever seen.
Given we know how much Apple helped LG engineering-wise to produce this new display, it the reason why Apple no longer wants to produce a standalone Apple branded display—among other reasons—because they are considering building a TV and wish that to be the only standalone Apple display from a marketing perspective.
