So the author of the bullshit BI article responded to his tweet:
So, because she couldn't get a statement from him, she published unsubstantiated garbage instead. What a pathetic excuse. The "let's talk now" almost sounds like an ultimatum, that if he doesn't talk to her, she'll publish more crap. Why should he be forced to talk to this nobody?
This has been a troubling week in Apple fake news, but on grand scheme of things, at least we learned that Donald Trump likes to be peed in the face by Russians hookers... so there's that.
Sorry but that's also fake news.
Who knows if its fake, it's mostly rumors (not news) that got tacked to something which is actually news, the part from a credible source that he's a russian puppet.
The part is not confirmed but it is highly possible as it is coming from a well known MI6 source that's seemingly credible (worked with FBI on the FIFA scandal). Considering that credible sources is the basis of most journalism (especially in getting early leads), it's a few steps away from fake. It just needs more digging and I'm sure they'll be a lot of that being done in foreign intelligence services and journalists at large over the next year : stay tuned.
Watergate started with a break-in, a few rumors, and some unconfirmed info from a reliable insider (deep throat) that got things going too.

Trump set the precedent with years of standing behind fake news with comments like "I've heard…" and "People are saying…"
"According to colleagues, Lattner was disillusioned by Apple's "culture of secrecy," which is one of the factors that led to his departure from Apple."

Agreed, but not commenting on his own fake news -- just this one. Whether it seems likely or unlikely or whatnot, until it's substantiated it's just fake news. Just like when Trump did the birther stuff.
Well I'll always remember that turn-around jumper Chris Laettner made to win the NCAA regional final game for Duke in the last second. Then he goes to work for Apple.
Not at all true, of course (Lattner vs. Laettner for those keeping score at home). But close enough to publish for BI.
