    So Apple is doomed again?
I saw an article titled “Can Apple rise from the ashes?” I kid you not.

Morgan Stanley Lowers 2017 iPhone 7 Sales "ESTIMATES" after earlier over estimates did not match Apple's guidance.  Estimates will be adjusted daily as others with less information change their guesses.

Blatant attempt at stock manipulation.   How long is this going to sit at the top of Apple insider?  Very suspicious.  Don't listen to Katy Huberty and don't be fooled by this lousy journalism.  She changes her mind on units every few months and is consistently wrong, depending on what her company wants her to say.  It's all a scam and it's how Wall Street steals money from the everyday Joe.  AAPL will surprise to the upside and she'll revise back up (providing absolutely no value but still making headlines for some reason).
Morgan Stanley...what a joke.  Wall St is ignoring that news.  For whatever reason, Forbes is by far the worst and most consistent Apple basher followed by Bloomberg.  Apple will beat iPhone 7 and Macbook Pro estimates.  iPhone 8 will be a home run.  In since $50 pre-split (i.e. a long long time ago).  Go Apple.

Is this going to be the new upgrade cycle?

    iPhone 7
    iPhone 8
    iPhone 8S
    iPhone 9
    iPhone 10
    iPhone 10S
    etc

Are we skipping every other "S" upgrade?
The rumor sites have thrown every variation against the wall, including the "double flagships" 7S + 8 claim. One of them is bound to stick. But the truth is, nobody knows.

I bet there are a lot of companies out there in this world that would love to be in "ashes" with tens of billions in annual profits (and $215 Billion in annual revenue). It really gets tiring reading about the doom of Apple. Its like these places want Apple to fail so bad. I guess anything to get a major story. Quite honestly as much as the media wants Apple to fail it really wouldn't be good for anyone in the end.

As Apple announced before, their iPhone design will carry 3 years instead major reworked 2 years as past.
Since 6,6S & 7 has same design(only difference was 7+ has dual camera), 7S need to complete new design.
But as S was used to be modification of previous release of hardware, not the design.

It seems to me Apple drop headphone jack and introduce dual camera in 7 & 7+, S is already done.

Form factor will not much change so I think either Apple drop aluminum back and replace with glass or hard plastic(like iPhone 3). side will be aluminum like bumper.

Unless Samsung able to pull wow factor in 8, Apple's this year iPhone release will rolling good sales.
Depends on iPhone 8(OLED, wifi charge, bigger screen?), even 7,7+ user might change to new one.

AI: you wrote that apple has "dismal" sales, because revenue declined. That's a strong word. Were they operating at a loss? Or was it still a highly successful and profitable sales period? "dismal"?

Exactly. Apple is still making money hand over fist, their cash pile still growing, but because they are making somewhat less money than last year they are described as a failed company with “dismal” sales and that the “era of Apple is over.”

It's like all normal logic and evaluation considerations go out the window because Apple. Even on an Apple site they're labeling reduced earnings as "dismal". It leaves one scratching his head...

Is Super Cycle like the extra big Super Moon thing that was popular for a while? The new iPh won't be called the '8'. If it won't be called the iPhone Pro, it will be something else Appleishly simple and elegant, and will eventually become the new standard as with iPad Air then iPad Pro.
