Hotels are cheeper for the most part, as far as I know. But when I say cheeper, generally everything you buy in city is cheaper (food, transportation, getting there, etc). NY is just a more expensive place to visit.

As far as Boston being less expensive than NY, its only slightly cheaper. Boston is still an expensive city compared to...ohhh..say...Philly

well, i guess m3d jack has a point. Most of the days are spent at the expo, but i like to take a day off and expore the city i am in and see what it is like. i realize that i am there for the expo but i like to make a little vacation out of it. i have only been to Boston 3 times and on business and i guess i got the wrong impression.. However, it seems to me that New York gets more attention and is a major event type of place to be. i will try it out next year and see how it goes..p

And if you do want to take a day or two to see the city... New York has been done to death I mean, explore Boston. Don't be afraid of a new city

I am so glad. When they moved it to New York I stopped going from San Francisco Bay Area. Now I plan on going in 2004. Boston is a great town ? much more of an East Coast Mac capital than New York City.
