Yeah but it'll also be challenged itself as it's still running Android and that resolution won't be easy to drive.
Why do you think QHD resolution is not easy to drive for SoCs (SD 835, Exynos 8895) in 2017? Even 2 year old Exynos 7420 in Samsung S6
can drive QHD resolution without any trouble for all normal tasks. The problem with performance will be observed ONLY during high-end gaming which is going to affect only a small group of users. For normal users, there won't be any visible performance issue due to QHD resolution. Even my iPad Air with 3 year old Apple A7 processor is driving a high resolution display (1536*2048 pixels) without any trouble.
Hmmm thats some crack reporting, since the note 7 last year (yeah i know it was recalled but it proves the technology exists and has been put into production products already) Samsung has had an iris scanner and a phone with 64 gb of storage standard, so saying that the S8+ is gonna have it isn't a wild stretch. Also you guys make it sound like samsung is going to pull an apple here and only put those features into their S8+ phone, but the exact same specs are also expected in the smaller S8 model as well, so you dont have to choose the plus size model to get those features. I love the author of this article must have skimmed a samsung rumor article and then regurgitated only select pieces of it here.
"Samsung's 'Galaxy S8+ with 6.2-inch screen & iris scanner ... ... , order right now and we will throw in a pair of silicon oven mitts ... but wait there's more... if you order in the next 17 minutes we will double your order. That's right two Galaxy s8+s, two sets of oven gloves and they both come with pre installed malware so you don't have to download it yourself"

I suppose it will appear in this year's line.
