Error installing icloud for windows on windows 8

i am running into following problem when installing icloud for windows

    Is this a fresh install, or an update? If this is an update, you'll need to manually remove the iCloud 3.1 files first.

    i will try to download icloud application again and then will see how it goes

    i download icloud for windows again but all in vein

    the same binary installed fine on windows 7
