I don't care about Apple News. Don't use it and never will. I prefer to go straight to the source. Why have someone curate your information sources and impose a wall between you and your interests?

I like the News widget on the Notifications screen as it does have quick-interest news headlines that I can follow up on.

The News app still isn't available here, but I agree that it is foolish to depend on one news source, even if it is a curated aggregator. I have quite a few news apps and use them to get as much coverage as possible.

I actually still subscribe to physical newspapers also. Not that they aren't biased, but I never got rid of them.

Interesting to read the comments from a group that considers itself to be super intelligent about everything and every topic, when said comments merely display reactionary navel-gazing.

McCarthy was not vindicated. He's a POS and always will be. He was not vindicated, no matter what a few `scholars' add to his Wikipedia page.
Repeating it doesn’t make it true. The Venona papers already proved you wrong.

Its McCarthism all over again. You don't like something somebody said, label them a communist.
Reminder that McCarthy did literally nothing wrong and was completely vindicated. Everyone he “fingered” was proven to either be a communist or had direct ties to the party. He’s an American hero who has been slandered to high heaven.
