Their parkade is nicer than many other corporate headquarters. Heck, I'll bet their electrical closets are nicer than many offices.

Quality video. Duncan Sinfield finally has some real competition.

And this is news... how exactly? It's normal for new building during initial occupancy to show some rough edge, thats it why there are stages for both occupancy and final construction.
How is this not news? We usually get drone footage at the end of every month. I, for one, love to see the progress month-to-month. I'll also watch the videos from other uploaders.
I believe Kevin is pointing out the subtle negativity in the AI headline -- an Apple building with "rough edges" in wake of a "deadline" implies that they failed, that their QA is slipping, that their product sucks, this would never happen if, yada yada... I agree that these rough edges are not headline worthy. Whether its intentional or just ingrained in Apple-related news sources, it seems they go for sensational headlines which imply Apple is on on shaky ground, rocky footing...it's part of the click machine.

    • Will they use sod or seed for the grass? Seems like they'll need a few football fields of sod or a dump truck of seed.
My guess it'll be sod, but not until about November. California is headed into their dry season.

You could sod now, but you'd have to irrigate a lot.

Seeding makes zero sense in late April/early May for the SF Bay Area.
I don't see Apple putting down sod. That's a lot of ground to cover and using a whole lot of water. With all the tree's, tree's kill lawns as the sod will not get enough light. Then there's cutting it and the noise of doing that. I think it'll be left more natural then throwing down sod. Wow at night, now the UFO really looks like a UFO lit up at night. It's pretty impressive.

Certainly not on the entire property, but in a few locations, there will likely be grass lawns.

Looking at the some of the publicly distributed aerial plans (just search for "Apple Campus 2") it looks like there will be some grassy areas. Clearly, there will be some near the employee fitness center which makes sense (yoga, soccer games, etc.).

There are some substantial grass lawns at Apple's 1 Infinite Loop campus, so I assume the Apple executive team and employees understand that that there will be occasional noise from the landscaping maintenance. Of course, some of this could be scheduled for weekends.

It's not like this is the first time a Fortune 500 company has built a new employee facility.
