Slap Tech's rumor reports are horrible. The one about a remote desktop for XP coming to OS X filed in July is absurd and the sight hasn't even been updated since August. Hopefully the writing will improve otherwise AppleInsider is going to be worse then MOSR. (MOSR atleast sounds like they know something and credible) Maybe Slap Tech should buy the writers of thinksecret.com while they are on their buying spree.

Unfortunately, MOSR only does sound like they know something. Ryan Meader is one of those people that can sort of float by with a little knowledge, speculation, and BS He had his day though, but it has since passed. Still, reading his site for the past couple of years... he is filled with excuses, false promises, obvious speculation, and ridiculous longwinded content. Sometimes I wonders why he even bothers, because the bottom fell out of web advertising years ago...

Actually it is true, Microsoft did release XP Remote Desktop for Mac OS X. It was on The Screen Savers 1-2 months ago.
We could make a new front page and just include the forum in a link... You guys feel where I`m poking. Brad, I think I could do what you where talking about with the articals in PHP. Maybe even have/had something where members with so many posts can also post news on the front page?
Just another reason to go to other forum sites that are more stable (and I don't mean webserver uptime), aren't managed by other websites, don't get bought out by strange entities, and are pretty much in control of the site and it's content, not to mention encourage the idea of member-submitted content, and don't have a meaningless/stupid name like "SlapTech."
But, don't get me wrong. Worst case scenario, AI will still have the real community, all of us. Even if the boards go down or are just completely bastardized, look what we've already been through, all in the name of Mac rumors and other priceless gab.
OMG. I hope the current home page isn't indicative of what appleinsider will become. Maybe we can just pretend it doesn't exist

*sniff* i love you guys

I know I'm pretending it doesn't exist, at least for now.
Brad likes to complain

Well, yes, I suppose I do.
Seriously, guys, this means *nothing* as far as the forums go. So, we'll have a new front page. Big deal. We were afraid that this meant that they'd change the forums, but we've learned that that just is not true. The forums will continue to be managed as they are now.

I'm saying that whatever happens with appleinsider.com, I hope it doesn't affect these forums too much.

Is that a wish? Wishing is for suckers.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
The forums will not be changing, folks.

Can I help you pack your bags? I'll erase your bookmarks for you, too.

What, badly?
Sorry, couldn't resist. And me a moderator, too. Tsk. You just can't get the staff these days.
