After purchasing this $3399 PowerBook (plus a $299 AirPort Base Station--yes, Murbot, I decided to take it up the ass from Apple ) I'm so far into the red zone, I may never see the color black again. So, I'm counting on my girlfriend to supply me with Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime for the GameCube: two rather minor purchases in relation to this expensive, portable beast.
I am getting myself a lift kit for my jeep and some bigger rims and tires. And I also need some new riding boots when I go motorcycle riding. My current ones are worn down......but I am the only guy on this board that is getting this stuff for X-mas.
But yes, the 20 GB iPod would help with that. Actually, I'm deciding between an iPod and a large FireWire HD, 80-120 GB. That would make Mac swaps painless.
I could even install OSX on a partition and run it off that... not even USE the new Mac's drive.
As for the list... I've been meaning to compile a list with dates, but damn I wouldn't know where to start. The first 8 are easy, then I really started to repeat myself. I couldn't tell you when I had iBook #2 and iBook #3... then there's the 3 PowerBooks...
Me? I'm getting my parents an eMac this year, since I've never done anything big for them, and they are *really* aching to dump their PC. I mean, they're right up Apple's "switch' alley - digital photos, web hosting, secure pop-up-less surfing, easy e-mail, etc.
It's tough, because my job income varies week to week, but it'll happen one way or another. They deserve it!
couple of iPods for the kids.....just got a digital camera this week....so i may not do much for myself this x-mas....maybe save for next year....either get a tower or a mini cooper.....damn, my wife is getting too smart and it is getting harder and harder to "sell" her on all these midlife crisis ( you can have them yearly from 30 to 50, right?) g

Just trying to decide if I need 20 gigs or not...
Ah, Murbot, the only one who has lists of lists of the Apple hardware he has owned.

Which alone warrant the necessity of a 20G iPod.
*brain fries at the sheer thought of 20G of text*

w00t!
Ah, they're not all bad. They have a 56k modem port, and they ARE the easiest thing out there to set up. And of course, the looks.

Oh, I know. Unemployed!
Hint: I just bought an LCD screen and VESA mounting plate. Damn, it'll be so fly!
