Apple's WWDC presentation composition is old white guys with a few white females thrown in - no idea if the company as a whole has the same composition but it's hard not to notice the difference between (for example) the Google/Microsoft signature event diversity and Apple's - just sayin'
She is in marketing and brand management and is now Uber's Chief Brand Officer. Maybe she was looking for a challenge, Uber certainly offers one. The twitter replies there give a sample. Apple's marketing mostly takes care of itself. Bozoma probably had to deal with all the Apple Music marketing campaigns like the ones involving Taylor Swift and Drake.
A daily routine can get boring at any company, you have to feel motivated and feel like you are doing something worthwhile. There are factors like the working hours expected. When people have young families, they don't always want to give up all their time to a job. Maybe she got tired of drunk Eddie Cue telling her to sit down all the time:

Apple might not even need a marketing exec for Apple Music any more. Bozoma came from Beats, Apple already had a marketing team. The employees of Beats had agreements to stay on for a certain period of time:
