    Wow!

This is huge.  This is a great and compelling reason to buy the iPhone 8.

Also, with  both cameras being equivalent and able to shoot in 4K, the iPhone 8 technically can become a 360 camera since it can simultaneously capture front and rear scenes. Just attach it to your helmet.

The iPhone 8 is PERFECT for doing YouTube Videos.  Just add an external microphone for better audio.

Give it 480fps slow motion at 720p and things get really interesting.

Marry this phone up with a hand-held Gimbal-Stabilizer PTZ mount and you have Hollywood in your hands.

Will the latest Macs be able to edit the video in FCPX without everything coming to a screeching halt. Especially over an external TB3 or USBC SSD?

Your complaints about macs are not relevant to this thread, thanks.

I'd like to see 60fps available for any recording resolution.

Expect more terrible high-resolution "selfie" videos than ever before. 😶

It should help keep file sizes similar to what they are now:

    iphone 4k video

Currently the iPhone does 4k30 at 50Mbps, which is 375MB/minute. Going to 60FPS would roughly double the space but using HEVC cuts it back in half.

If someone had an entry level 32GB model with 16GB free, they'd get ~40mins of footage. If the new phone has HDR video, it would use a bit more space (well, 2 bits more). That can come from the higher frame rate:

They can capture two separate exposures of film and store them as separate tracks then they can be combined or use the best of each. They might be able to get the depth API working for video too, especially with a depth sensor and record that as a track to use for blurring and masking.
