The TouchID button on my 6s is gummed up because I clean it constantly. It would be very nice if Apple were able to replace this button with something that could easily be cleaned (like the screen) making the iPhone work that much better. As for whether it's better than anyone else's, that doesn't matter to me. I just want it to work properly.
What sort of cleaning are you doing constantly? I’ve never cleaned my screen and my old 6s is working perfectly with a family member.
Normal face and hand oils. I guess you never actually touched your screen. I just carefully clean it with a dry cotton rag (or shirt).
? I touch my phone’s screen every single time I use it, which is why I don’t understand the claim that they don’t work properly.

As Rutger said in Bladerunner: "Questions."

I will add one more: what about fake finger print identification? Is t it that touchID can discrimination beste between "live" and "dead" fingers?
Define (definitively) what is a "dead" finger and what is a "live" one.
What about undead fingers? I'd still like to be able to use Touch ID when I'm a zombie.

I'm not saying every iPhone doesn't work properly, just mine, and I believe it's from my regular cleaning where stuff gets stuck in the button where I can't remove it, at least not safely. It surprises me you've never had to clean your screen. I've seen many iPhones with smudges or oil and whatever so I know I'm not alone.

Phh.. Amateurs... Everyone knows that. Undead fingers do not work on those screens. You need an Undead-O-Live glove to make that screen work, or just buy a phone for zombies. But of course, every zombie wants same brand of a phone that live people use (rolling eyes).
