I have to say that the Segway is an incredibly cool piece of engineering
I think it's biggest problem will be image. They have to get public perception around to seeing it as a desirable gee-whiz futuristic device, rather than a two wheeled motorized wheelchair, which is how most people are going to view it without outside intervention.
I saw her out shopping with her little doggy the other day. She has really good skin. (Not the doggy. (Well, it may have, but I couldn't see because it was under a lot of fur.))</strong><hr></blockquote>

Boy, that automobile sure is a funny contraption. You'll never see me in one of those. Penny-farthings were funny looking too. Image is everything.
If BART actually encircled the bay, that would be nice...but by the time that happens, we'll all be traveling around in little Jetson's capsules. And cab service is non-existent outside of SF and the airports.
I need to move to New York...
Get a little closer to a certain actress/Harvard student... </strong><hr></blockquote>
cabs are ridiculously expensive to. I was at SFMOMA with my gf and then we took the CalTrain to the Sunnyvale station. But we had to get a can to take us from there to the golf course, err, can't even remember the name, was only acouple miles but the bill came to nearly 24 bucks!!!
I don't even think NY cabs are that bad.... well, maybe, but you don't need em to get around

Instead the bus kept going, leaving the man to die at the intersection of El Camino Real and Sylvan in Mountain View.<hr></blockquote>

Another reason why I don't like Bay Area public transportation...it's dangerous!

If she was photographed by any paparazzi, she's going to have a tougher time explaining why her paper is late than Ellen Feiss.

If he'd been jit by a speeding Segway, he'd merely be in traction.
Now I see the light!
