I’m happy to reserve judgment until I actually hear one but I struggle to understand how the audio quality can be significantly better than a pair of reasonable speakers connected to an amplifier. I can’t see how you can get stereo from such a small unit and the tiny size means there won’t be much bass. I understand many consumers want something small and portable but the high cost means it will be inferior to a cheap mini HiFi unit and Siri can’t really compete with Google Home or Amazon Echo.
I love Siri and use it dozens of times a day but it can be infuriating. I say “Tell Karen...” several times a day, but even though Karen is my wife, it sometimes says, “Which Karen?” I’ve only ever sent messages to one Karen, how can it be so dumb?
Today, I said, “Remind me to call Alan at 2pm.” it listed several Allens (different name). It gave no option to say none of the above. It’s infuriating at times. Siri’s powers to recognise speech are truly impressive but it’s awful at actually interpreting the words...
I seriously doubt many many consumers will buy this over the much cheaper Amazon products and I fear Apple have massively misjudged the market.
