Special Event on Friday at Apple Stores, Worth it?

Will the special christmas sale Friday night be worth it? I am guessing it will be alot like the one when 10.2 was released: 10% off everything and a free mouse pad. Is there any possibility that an actually good deal will be available?

    I'm trying to decide if it's worth going to tomorrow night. I don't know, I guess if I've got nothing better to do then I'll go, but I'm not going to miss doing something else just to go to the Apple Store.

    They need to have an Apple Store in Seattle for stuff like this. I guess there are no decisions for me...

    i'll bring my laptop in to get looked at while i'm there. two birds, one stone. although i'll have to decide which apple store in the state to go to.

    yup sounds like what i am probably going to be doing... SoHo, Palisades, or RF....

    Considering sales tax here in Memphis is at 9.25%, I'm not as excited as I would be if I lived in someplace where the local government wasn't so horribly mis-managed.
