    I don't think the protests there in France is any more or less than other developed countries. 
    Then you haven't been to France and/or don't know about French history.
    If some people entered my house without permission to protest something, rest assured they'd be greeted by my Louisville slugger, no questions asked.
    Yeah, but the french aren't rednecks, and traditionally they have more respect for protest than for some company's private property (or even the government's).

    This is a Trumpian move by Apple to silence its critics....
    .... Bad move.   Very bad move on Apple's part.

    That said, they should be protesting Ireland rather than Apple.
    Ireland broke EU laws by offering Apple a tax shelter from taxes it would otherwise have had to pay.   Apple just did what any other company would have done and accepted their gracious, but illegal offer.
