The first-ever Apple store in Austria will open on Vienna's Kaerntner Strasse on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m. local time, the company has announced.

A photo shared by AppleInsider reader Roy shows the shop's facade decorated in custom patterns, including a unique version of the Apple logo. Notably, the western exterior of the building has been lined with benches and trees, encouraging passers-by to rest.

Rumors of a Kaerntner store date back to August 2016. The location was formerly home to an Esprit clothing outlet, but that company is said to have been forced out by the high cost of real estate on the street, known as a high-traffic shopping district.

Apple's foray will normally be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The shop will shut down completely on Sundays.

The company just recently opened its first South Korean store, looking to divert sales from local electronics giants Samsung and LG.

Yay! Finally it took long enough! And looks like it took a long time since constructions has started. Anyway I hope it's the first of at least a few Apple Stores in Austria.

I love how Apple takes a classic building with a very discreet logo out front and makes a very elegant presentation.

Most new architecture we get these days look like cyanide factories. :)

Beautiful exterior design. Understated AND sophisticated.
