Can't connect to iTunes nor can I go into recovery mode

in iPhone

Two days ago my iPhone 7plus was hit with the Telugu bug and ever since won't turn on. It is stuck in a restart loop. The problem is that it won't connect to the iTunes on my computer since when I try to connect it, iTunes asks for a passcode which I can't provide as the phone is stuck. As a result, I can't put my phone in recovery mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

You don't need to enter a passcode for a DFU reset.

Connect the device to a computer using a USB cable. Ignore any dialogs that pop up.

Hold down both the Side button and Volume Down button.

After 8 seconds, release the Side button while continuing to hold down the Volume Down button. If the Apple logo appears, the Side button was held down for too long.

Nothing will be displayed on the screen when the device is in DFU mode. If open, iTunes will alert you that a device was detected in recovery mode, and won't ask for a password. If you do get a screen telling you to connect to iTunes, try the steps again.

Alternatively, tell the jerk that sent you the character in the first place to send you a new message WITHOUT the character.
