If Apple could finally deliver something without bugs and on time it would be a miracle. Two steps forward, two steps backward is their new normal.
There hasn't been an official release date for it yet so how can it be behind?
Why did Apple announce it if it wasn’t ready? I thought vaporware was something Microsoft did.
Because if they hadn’t mentioned it then you’d be sneering about adding wireless charging to the iPhone and with no plan to support it.
Well, you have to admit the Apple of old would have had it ready to launch when it introduced wireless charging. Remember the impressive launch of the iBook, paired with a wireless airport alongside?

Apple of old that took almost a year to release the white iPhone version? Apple of old that never open sourced FaceTime.

Nah, that’s just the techie echo chamber. Most people don’t worry about this stuff...  My X is kickass and normals feel the same about theirs. They don’t even know that an AirPower is coming and will only judge it when it gets here. Nobody cares about the delays except those looking to make an issue out of it.

On time? How is it not “on time”? I pretty sure they said it would be out this year? No specific date, month or even quarter was given. So Apple still has 7+ months to make sure it’s “on time”
So why is Apple announcing things so far in advance? It’s going on 6 months now since AirPower was announced and we have no idea when it will be available.
Because people just like you also complain when they don’t announce anything and are tight-lipped? You get that, right?

How long after an announcement and with no goods eventuating get can we legitimately get to call it vapourware?
Who cares, you’d just find something else to complain about so what’s the point of asking?

Remember how long it took for the white iphone 4? Oh yeah.

Sorry but your “But Apple used to be better!” narrative is simply bullshit.

I’m always amazed at how rosy people make Apple’s past. And let’s consider how many products Apple had when that iBook was launched.  Hell, that was over 2 years before the original iPod was even launched, and yet people bitch and call Cook a failure when Apple doesn’t release an entirely new product category every quarter.

Would be nice if we would get the AirPower though, been too long since it was announced.
