If we do not know what policies were violated, why are we crucifying Apple?
Because the stated reason is "business conflicts", not anything to do with the user (experience, privacy, etc).  It appears that Apple have blocked Steam Link because it is not in Apple's best interests, with no regard to the user.  That's the sort of thing that pisses users off.

R-Play is from an independent developer that has no affiliation with Sony. Moonlight is from an independent developer that has no affiliation to Nvidia. And remote desktop apps aren't really used to play AAA PC games. Steam Link, on the other hand, is directly from Valve and is specifically focused on playing games Valve itself profits from. So despite there being some similarities, there are also some differences as well.
