Apple would rather spend repatriated cash on dividends than employee raises and bonuses.
Sure they give their employees stock grants, but they are minuscule and have 5 year handcuffs before they vest. Meanwhile the board gets a huge stock bonus that vests next year. There is no one on the board that really needs the money, but there are a lot of employees who could use a fraction of that money to make their lives easier and help focus on making great products instead of worrying balancing their income between just surviving and thriving.

You go girl! 🙂
Bah! Free money for doing nothing more for employees is a great way to feed an entitlement mentality. Apple would engage in such practices at their peril.
Nothing a pay raise or a round of bonuses can’t temporarily change, they have the cash.
I think that there’s a longing within Apple to be equal to what Google has been doing for years now. They just built this massive new complex and you would think they’d be pumping out new products or have employed massive army of engineers to fix bugs, or add features? Or maybe fix Siri?
I guess they store something else inside that massive ring.
I remember with Steve Jobs you know used to really know how to whet your palate, and get excited about what was to come. And Apple usually delivered something worth waiting in line for. Jobs really was the ultimate salesman, I bet he could get people excited about a used car.
Even without his sales pitch, I got the feeling Apple under jobs was consistent in efforts bringing out the next thing, it’s not happening anymore at Apple. They need to get that back.
At least if they’re not gonna be bringing out new products, not taking that route, then they should be noticeably improving the products that they have out now. Case in point, Siri.
Apple under Steve Jobs = Less is more. Apple under Tim= Less is really less.
WOW. So the richest company in tech if not the world, can't even keep their employees happy? Ouch. Throw away your rotten core apple, and your products will improve.
