So apple did not test their own hardware. They made a heat-sync that is to small and makes bad die contact. To "fix" the issue they underpower the CPU more and change fan settings... The apple community comes to defense of apple again cause like always, it's not apples fault you just used it wrong..

"Free" software update. Wow. That's unusual.  ;)
Now can all the little whiney bees go change their diapers?
Withing the whining, who knows when they would have fixed it. (That is assuming this actually fixes it.)
It's not "fixed" go look at the MBP2018 tear-downs, you can clearly see that it's a hardware problem. The HS is to small and makes terrible contact.. The ONLY way to keep these things from having thermal issues is to under volt the CPU, exactly what the "fix" did... In case none of you are hardware experts, reducing voltage to the CPU will = reduced performance. So when you pay for a performance laptop at a HUGE premium... you don't get what you pay for. Hmm that's a great slogan. "Apple, don't get what you pay for."

They fixed it in the sense that they got it within spec. Of course, if there were more cooling available, they they could get even more performance out of it.
