My series zero is just over 3 years old and ok.   I’m stuck on wOS4 and I don’t mind.   Not upgrading because it does what I need.   I rarely use time travel.    So there’s that.

Good news, WatchOS5 not installing on series 1 means I get to to retain the one feature I like about shittest sport watch I have owned in my life. I do like the ability to change bands, aside from that it was the first Apple product I really regreted buying.
Series 1 is supported. Series 0 is not. So if you have a "shitty" Series 1 then you're okay. If you have the original "shitty" Series 0, then you're not. But either way, the watch is "shitty"! /s

IMO this was the worst feature in the watch, never used it but done it accidentally so many times, glad it’s going.

Im really not inclined to buy a new one. When I saw the reveal, I really didn't think I'd use the activity tracker stuff. I could live without it for sure, and have found it really kills the battery. Saw it use 20% of the battery in a 30 minute outdoor walk one time, and then it sort of comes and goes. Battery life is wildly unpredictable. I dont change how I use it, and some days it lasts a good 15 hours; some days it quits after about 10. There are many that say AW is prototypical Apple tech - it kinda sucks when it came out, and it gets better. Maybe so, but I gave up on Siri long ago, and while I use Apple Maps with CarPlay, i've had AM send me to the wrong location too many times. Not kidding, it didn't know and urban address and sent me on more than one goose chase.

Another rather annoying bug is when I'm having a message conversation on my iPhone or other device. My Apple Watch starts buzzing with all the notifications of the message I read 2 minutes ago. I have to set it to airplane mode to shut it up. Kinda like the smoke alarms you hafta yell at "i'm just cooking!"

Regret it? Nah. I like it and use it. Wish it was better? Yeah.

    In many ways, I agree.

I only used it to access workflows on the watch face that I’d used before. And yes, it’s annoying when you accidentally trip it.

I can see what they were trying to do, but UI-wise, it’s a bit of a miss for me.

Total bummer.  I use this all the time for weather.  Just doesn't seem like it would too hard to just leave it be.

Sorry to hear of all your problem with Apple Watch and Apple Maps.
I use both on regular basis and have none of those problems.  For me, both products have been rock solid.

You weren't aware of the 30-day return policy?
What? Take it back? And deny himself the opportunity to whine about it forever more? Never!
There was the promise of updates to fix issues. What you called whining, is the very thing if not the only thing that drives companies like apple to make great products. The fanboys just buy any shit and defend poor products on the basis of a logo.  So yeah, I’d rather “whine” then eat shit with a smile.

"There was the promise of updates to fix issues."   WRONG!

    Then you’re an idiot.

You buy a product for what it does for you now, not what you hope it does for you in the future.

If it had “issues” then you should’ve taken it back. To carry on with it when you knew it wasn’t working for you just so you can call yourself an Applelite is the worst kind of fanboyism, as you like to call it. If you prefer a Casio then buy a Casio.  But carry on whining if it gives you validation.

    You meant 'seldom adopted'.

We all use these watches in our own ways, because they are so versatile. Why make them less so? I'm a watch early adopter, and I travel for a living as an airline worker. I keep a modular watch face with multiple time zones, easily changed. Using the TT feature, I could spin the time to bedtime and see what time it will be in LA or Rome or Taipei or someplace new to me, and how it would fit into my itinerary. Wherever I was supposed to go that week, I'd plan my sleep, activities, which sport equipment to bring for a run or bike ride, or just plan to stay inside and study, plan when to start resting for duty, whether I'd need to bring food or buy food as soon as I got there, and just imagine how I will feel when the sun comes up there or when it goes down. It was all so brilliant. It was just awesome for frequent international travel, and too good to last, I guess. What I don't understand about this company is how they can so arrogantly take things away that early adopters have come to use, however "rare" we may be vs. the average joe. Just leave the option buried in there. I'm sure stupid muggles complained about triggering it by accident ( just like how we have to see a notification now when we use Do Not Disturb mode- a notification because we don't want notifications). But it is MY watch and now they have crippled the way I use it without asking. Just to get fixes to their bugs, I lost my functionality.

This is bullsh*t. The minute hand covers the date and TT was the only way to find out what the date was.
