As a sharholder and Apple user, I applaud the “pulling off the scab” of unit sales.
What i think the analysts miss is that the iPhones and other devices are so long lived that the consumer base increases even with a constant rate of iPhone sales...my wife just got a new Xs Max and her iPhone 6s was sold to another customer...one sale from Wall Street’s perspective but two customers. Granted the women who paid $300 for the phone isn’t going to be shelling out for a new iPad Pro anytime soon but she will be buying apps and who knows maybe an Apple Watch at some point.
Screw their short term perspective. Good opportunity for new investors and AAPL to rebuy some stock.
