I'm looking to connect an old 2011 Macbook Pro with a new Macbook Pro 2018 via Target Disk Mode. Any thoughts? Where to buy?

    I'd recommend you do it over Ethernet. Otherwise, a Thunderbolt cable connected to Apple's Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter would work.
