Apple is continuing to highlight its "Shot on iPhone" campaign to promote its latest smartphones, with a holiday edition showcasing high-quality photography taken using the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.

Highlighted by Apple on Wednesday, the selection of photographs are from professional and amateur photographers that have posted images to social media using the hashtag #shotoniphone and its model-specific variants.
For this time of year, the shots are selected to show holiday scenes and winter landscapes, ranging from a dog near a decorated tree to outdoor scenes featuring snow and other celebratory elements. Not all of the images are holiday-specific, as one consists of a portrait with winter clothing to combat the cold, and another depicts Japan's Mount Fuji and a lake scene.
The "Shot on iPhone" series has been used over the years as a way to prove that the iPhone's cameras are high-enough quality for photography, disproving a general sentiment that such smartphone cameras are poor quality.

Shortly after the release of the iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple issued another roundup of images, including one set highlighting the bokeh capabilities, and another for the 4K and slo-mo video functions. Another batch was also selected for the iPhone XR.
