    I don't think QC has a case.  The only reason it got as far as it did in Germany was ridiculous legal maneuvering.  My understanding is that QC lost a similar case here in the US because the company Qorvo that implemented the patent was allowed to show it's battery-saving tech to the courts so long as QC's engineers were excluded from viewing the tech.  Qorvo did not want QC to gain a competitive advantage in court and essentially steal Qorvo's tech.  

    In Germany, Qorvo essentially made the same request, and QC somehow convinced the judge that if Qorvo was not being up front about it, then surely they must be hiding something.

    This is my understanding of what's going on here.  It only makes sense that Apple will win in an appeal and QC will get hit hard for it.
