The bigger story I think is how Huawei gained 43.9% while Samsung and iPhone are both in declined (negative)? - and in some extent, Oppo and Xiaomi also see an increase in shipments while market is in average -4.9% compare to last year.
Please....i want to see and hear the word SOLD, not freakin shipped.
Shipped=Sold in almost every case.
If a distributor, retailer, etc has factually paid Apple, Samsung, Huawei or whoever, or a promise to pay on a specific date has been finalized then a sale was realized. Yes, shipped smartphones nearly always count as sold. You're apparently not wanting to count paid for phones not transferred thru to an end-user which no one reports.
So in brief: The key takeaway is that an iPhone or Galaxy sitting on the shelf of a Best Buy or a wireless carrier shows up on a Samsung/Apple income statement as a reported sale for that period because it was recognized as a sale upon shipment. It makes no difference when an end customer buys that phone.
Apple also totally lost the vacuum cleaner race. Again. C’mon Apple, where are your priorities? Sure, you’re making a lot of money, but some people think you should just focus on selling more stuff.

Huawei thanks honor brand. In the premium and ultra premium market huawei don’t sell . Apple got a year of record . For the first time the most expansive smartphone , iPhone X, was also the best seller all over the brands. This year Apple got the second best quarter of all time . Think at that.
Huawei broke records with premium and ultra premium phones. In fact, all of its premium and ultra premium phones showed massive YoY gains.
Honor also has premium phones now and is competing directly with Huawei branded phones. That's why the Magic 2 shipped a few weeks after the Mate 20 and also had the Kirin 980, Supercharge and it was Honor that announced Bone Voice ID.
As a company, Huawei bucked a downward industry trend with massive YoY gains in unit sales and record revenues from the consumer business group. And without open access to the huge US market.
That is impressive whichever way you look at it and without doubt they are also picking up iPhone users or potential iPhone buyers.
Absolutely not. All the companies said the same: huawei grow thanks honor. Apple have more than 80% in ultra premium market and over 51% of share in premium market. Huawei don’t sell much in premium and ultra premium . In the price of premium and ultra premium huawei have less of 10%

Ps huawei have the lowest revenue since 2013.
No. Huawei broke records on revenues and handset sales. That includes Honor as there are two brands but one company.
Every single flagship released this year has beaten its predecessor on a tracking basis. That means that the Mate 20 series is tracking higher sales than the Mate 10 series. The P20 series is tracking higher than the P10 series and the Honor 10 is is tracking higher than the Honor 9 etc.
Added to that, the proportion of premium and ultra premium phones is also breaking records being higher than at any other point.
