what have you done with your Apple mouse?
I was just wonderin',
what did you guys (n gals) do with your one-button-cute-but-useless Apple mouse?
I'm racking up quite a collection and am starting to wonder what the hell to do with them. Apple should stop wasting the amount of effort it takes to make these mice (resources, time, etc). They are useless and would imagine that vast majority of users change them immediately.
I know the 'normal' user doesnt (my parents would freak out if they saw an extra button). But JEEEEZ at LEAST a fvcikng scroll wheel fer chrissake!
anyway, back to the question...

mine is being used in the kids room on the older iMac DV...the hockey puck that came with that iMac is...heck if i know....maybe the underwear gnomes have it....g
I scroll with - wait for it - scroll bars. Space bar and/or Page Down work pretty well, too, when appropriate.
I also used my little orange "hockey puck" the entire two years I had my iMac DV (except for a brief flirtation with the 2-button/scroll wheel Contour UniMouse for a month or so.
I've never found myself wishing for a right-button or a scroll wheel. Maybe if I was forced to use one for a month or so and found that I just couldn't do without it?
Let's all gang up on him now... YOU ARE A LONER ON THIS ONE, BABY!!
ha ha
I agree with Amorph - I much prefer to pageup and pagedown than scroll.

Sure, the OS is made on purpose to accomodate 1-button functionality, but I have to have multiple buttons for lots of functions. On top of it all, I'm an avid gamer, so one button is just NOT an option.
I guess there's gonna be a heck of a surplus of Apple Optical mice in Europe in a bit.
Hey Murb, I hate you

I get good value from the Up and Down cursor keys as well. And Page Up. And End. And Home... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />
The funny thing about that is that I felt too much like I was on a Windoze machine with that 2 button/scroll wheel mouse...weird...I have used Windoze machines all the time in the workplace...that's why I guess.
If I could afford a new mouse I think I would get one. But right now I'm confortable with what I got.
