Foxconn is not a Chinese company.
'Foxconn is a Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturing company with its headquarters inTucheng, New Taipei, Taiwan.

The word "Taiwan" is not officially included in any country's name. However, the government of a country named “Republic of China” (ROC) happens to rule an island called “Taiwan.” Since ROC controls only Taiwan and some smaller islands, people live inside and outside of the country start calling this country “ Taiwan.”

Taiwan is not formally recognized by other countries in the world as an independent sovereign. This is because most countries need China's good will to do business with China. So in that sense, Taiwan is not a country.

But Taiwan doesn't pay tax to Beijing and Beijing has absolutely zero control over the island's policy making, such as education, tax, military, political reforms, laws, economy, etc. In effect, Taipei is in complete control over the island's internal affairs.'

More fraud, something both Trump and China are masters at. Did anyone ever really believe that Wisconsin would even be capable of supporting 13,000 high tech jobs?
Oh, they can do the high tech jobs alright...until the Pabst break at 3:00, then you're gonna lose some.

(Sconnies...joke ((but you know it's got some truthiness)))

Taiwan has formal diplomatic relations with more than a dozen nations and the Holy See, and has governmental relations with more than 50 other nations. These include the granting of visas, and business and cultural exchanges. Of course, the American Institute in Taiwan is the defacto embassy and the two nations conduct annual joint-military exercises, the US sells military equipment to Taiwan and will defend it should Beijing lose its marbles and attacks.

Taiwan was never ruled by PRC and has total independence. Has for more than 70 years after the Chinese Civil War. Many on the island nation still consider themselves the rightful authority for all of China.

The US "encourages" Taiwan to not declare official independence to foster peace or at least no military action between the two that would involve it. But the US formally does not recognize PRC as having authority over Taiwan in any shape or form.
