I read on Wikipedia that the Germans didn't like Street View because some were photographed behind a tree, taking a dump. That's (almost literally what the page said. Of course, I can't find it now. There's a whole bunch of different pages on Wikipedia about Street View, privacy, Germany et cetera.

Yeah, Apple won't be allowed either. It's quite a fundamental thing for the Germans. In part, quite understandable.
