There’s probably no one here with a degree in journalism but if there is I have a question. Are you taught that making shit up based on sources “familiar with the subject” without corroboration is good journalism? Are you taught to hide behind journalistic privilege when “protecting” your sources? I can see that in criminal or political cases involving corruption or illegal activity but stuff like this seems petty in comparison.
It must suck being Cook and company and having the media tell your story for you.
Can we get an apology from the commenters who demanded Cooks head on a platter over this rumor?
"There's never been one note passed from us on scripts, that I can assure you. We leave the folks who know [what] they're doing [alone]." Makes more sense than any rumor I've read on the subject.
Here's what I find troubling. Why did Cook and Cue wait so long to refute this right around the time Hollywood/film studios were stated to be frustrated with Apple's interference or micro-managing of their work?
Maybe they're running the biggest company on Earth or something?
Netflix have taken over a couple of shows of late and suddenly they have swearing for the sake of swearing not in the service of the story line.
I do love that Netflix are willing to go out and make content others might not but at times they can seem like they are being the rebels for the sake of it.
If Apples direction is don't waste the impact when it doesn't service the content then I see no issue with that.
Indeed could be a good thing.
Then again I could see Apples culture as being openly forthright, so what might not seem out of ordinary to an Apple Exec might be seen as harsh to people not used to others commenting on their work.

You're referring to writers being freed from the restrictions of network TV. You realize people fucking swear in real life, right?
