xServe IMHO was used to hit home the fact that the rack was 'built for X' or 'Mac OS 9 need not apply' or 'this server is for X only' and even then someone asked if it would run ASIP (os 9 server software).
If I'm right then xMac would only be used at such a time when OS 9 would only work 'under' X and the box itself wouldn't boot directly into it.
I like XStation, like XServe, for some super powerful work station from Apple we'll see on the next blue moon... (though I have seen moons that were literally blue...)
I don't think its ugly at all....in fact I like the new design quite a bit....my only problem with it is that the cd tray shouldn't be so low on the case and the speaker shouldn't be so high...but since I use external speakers and usually keep towers ontop of the desk...it all works out perfectly for me
Umm, dude, that was like registered "4" days ago from Apple. Nice, nice find. Good job.
There's been a list of known names that Apple has considered for products based on domain registration and trademarks. This is thrown into the mix now.
iphone.org
deskmac.com
How many other names ought there can give us a clue? You'll also noticed (interesting to me) that Xserve was actually a name for a Macintosh only application. Apple just used it anyway. hmmm....
Great now I feel like a moron. My previous post about http://www.deskmac.com I unfortunately learned from another rumor site. Macrumors now has a story debunking it. So ignore the deskmac speculation I guess....

Dude, you need to copyright ALL of those NOW! QUICK!! Then you can maybe trade the rights for a few prototype G5s...

(BTW, a blue moon is technically when there is 2 full moons in 1 month, it happens relativly often, I think twice in 2000)
