No luck for me either
To be eligible for 1 year free, I need a CREDIT card. Which I do not have. And I do not want to have.
It wonders me they had no problem accepting a debit card to pay for iPhone 11 a month ago. And numerous other Apple devices during last 10 years.
They also have no problem accepting a debit card for iCloud, Apple Music, App Store and everything else.
So why on Earth, do I need a different card to "verify hat the account holder has authorised viewing on the web"?
And why the 1 year free offer does not appear in any of the AppleTV apps on all those devices at all, and I have to go through tv.apple.com to at least get the offer?
I definitely will not pay for something others get for free.
Shame on you, Apple, I'll stick with Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO GO.

My Apple ID is setup with a debit card in Australia.
On the Apple Discussion Forums people are bitching about not seeing the “free” subscription option on their recently purchased devices. I would imagine this has to do with warranty registration and which Apple ID is being used. I don’t know why so many people have multiple Apple IDs because all it does is muck things up in terms of subscriptions and purchases. Who bought what with what Apple ID?
I only have one Apple ID and still don’t have the one year free option. Many others are in the same boat.
iPhone 11 here, Australia, November 1st but no 1 year free trial. Maybe I have to wait for one more day until the sun comes around to my side of the world.
