Apollo Twin to Mac Pro 2019

Will be hooking up an Apollo Twin to the new Mac Pro ~
This means going from a T2 (Apollo) to T3 (Mac Pro).
The package reads:
Thunerbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter.
Is this the wrong adapter?  Otherway round it should be?
