I had two SEs - - one for home, one for business. One went South, so It raded it for an 8 earlier this year. With decreasing eyesight, the 8 is easier to use than the SE, especially with iMessages, and it does fit in the pocket. So, I'll keep h SE until no more batteries are available, and upgrade the 8 to whatever they want to call it.
The SE lovers have been pretty vocal about this NOT being what they wanted as an upgrade of their beloved device.
“This 150%! Iphone 8 body is not SE size. Their is a huge market being left on the table. I have a Xs and will switch the instant the successor to the SE is released. Using these phones has gotten so clumsy. No, the market has not moved on, the product we want just does not exist yet.”
RESPONSE: There’s only 1 generation of iPhone SE, so there’s no established form factor. Plus, SE stands for Special Edition. Having each consecutive SE adapt to a new form factor is sounds straight forward to me.
I know that names don't matter much, but I REALLY wish Apple would revert and revise the entire "X" naming scheme and pony up to the bar with the simple "10." Just call and forever refer to the damn thing in print as an iPhone 10, iPhone 10s, iPhone 10s Max, etc., and bury the silly "X" naming scheme like it never happened. There's nothing cooler that saying "My iPhone is a perfect 10." You know and I know that 90% of people call the "iPhone ten" the "iPhone Ex." Just imagine the horror of appending an "X" to the iPhone SE successor.
The Roman Empire collapsed. Leave it buried.
I dunno an iPhone SE X does sound appealing. Not for prudes, but will prob go over well in Germany.
""Since the consecutive design has been used from iPhone 6 to iPhone 8," says the site in its own English-language translation, "it is difficult to be thought that the name of iPhone SE would be succeeded."
The word "design" there is most likely to be a mistranslation"
That's not a mistranslation. The 6-8 all DO have the same design. I'm not sure what you could be talking about.
“The word "design" there is most likely to be a mistranslation of what the site probably meant was the iPhone naming convention. Clearly the designs of the iPhone 6 through iPhone 8 have not been the same, but it's somewhat true that the naming convention has been consistent.”
Seriously? The size and outside design of iPhone 6-8 is basically the same, and a new iPhone SE 2 might come in a 4.7” screen size, with the same outside design as iPhone 8, so, what is the problem? ߙ䦬t;/span> (Edit: that’s supposed to be rolling eyes emoji)
Buyer don't care the name SE2 or 9 or whatever. Important question what shape will it look like ? SE or iPhone 8 ? Will it have one or dual camera ?Rest of internal hardware is less significant because it will be similar to current or previous iPhone.

How about it be released at the same as the iPhone 12 Pro Premium Plus S (also know as 3pees)
